Villefranche sur Mer is located just to the east of Nice going in the direction of Monaco. Its neighbours to the est are Ct Jean Cap Ferrat, and Beaulieu

On this stretch of the coast the seafront becomes ever steeper - in Eze and Cap d'ail the buildings perch on rocky outcrops it would seem. Beaulieu, Cap Ferrat and Villefranche are at least blessed with a beach.

Access is  "c'est normale" for the cote d'azur - that is to say on busy weekends you're better off walking or hiring a scooter. Nevertheless Villefranche and Beaulieu are both served by a reasonably regular train between Nice and Ventimiglia in Italy - though the main stopping off point is Monaco
